I thought I would start a new thread. I've read quite a bit of the activity from previous classes and I thought it would be great to get a community of support started for those who have applied for UCSF's MEPN program... not just for us now, but for the future applicants who will read our posts! (: (the added bonus is this thread will be in gender neutral territory ;)

Would love to hear the stories of folks who are applying to nursing programs (UCSF and otherwise).

Still nothing in Santa Cruz. It seems strange because Santa Cruz is so close. It makes me think that one of two things may have happened: one being that they sent out invitations first and rejections are being mailed in a second wave, or two being that they were sending them out by specialty and they haven't sent out CNM letters yet. I'm obviously hoping that it is the latter. I'm trying to keep busy in the meantime, but these last few days have been killers in terms of nerves.

I hear you. I applied CNM as well and I'm based in SF. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they are sending out letters according to specialty! Has anyone gotten an interview who is a CNM candidate?

I know people last year who didn't receive notification until the 22nd of december:(....so we might still have a wait!

man this waiting really is killer. Have any FNP applicants heard yet? Maybe they are doing it by specialty....

vfro, i also applied to the fnp program and have not heard. i am with calinursetobe - i'm hoping they are doing it by specialty and not just doing two waves of mailings, first interviews and then rejections! i live in the peninsula so i feel like it should get to me quickly... this waiting is rough. and it's not like i check this message board multiple times a day, or anything...

Anybody apply to the psych/mental health NP track? I live in CT, have not heard anything as of yet, but have not checked my mail today.

cardinal7, i hope you and calinursetobe are right! I'm in Boston, so I realize that the letter will take a bit longer to get to me, but that hasn't stopped me from reading this thread like crazy and bugging my housemates to check the mail for me every day.

Still nothing in the mail today! The anticipation is killing me, I keep checking my application status on-line as well. The fact that it says "under review" is keeping my spirits up. Positive thoughts for tomorrow. :)

I don't think the online status is going to change from "Under Review" until the final admission decisions in March. I received an interview and my online status page did not change at all. And I'm sure we will all know our status before it changes online anyway. And even knowing all this I still check it all the time :) Good luck guys

I am also an FNP candidate and haven't heard anything...just got back from the mailbox! I believe it is by specialty since none of the FNP's I know have heard. Hope everyone keeps their spirits up, I mean they have to let us know before Christmas!!:)

Thought I would give all the future FNPs a heads up...

I got my FNP interview invite in the mail today!!

(I'm located in South San Francisco, just outside of SF.)

Keep a look out for the letter in the mail. It's just a single letter so don't be discouraged that the envelope is small. =)

Ay yay yay. I`m also a not-so-patiently waiting CNM applicant. Makes me feel better to hear that others are in the same boat :-)
