  1. Javabean-- 98% sure as well. Eazye, I'm coming from Oakland-- was thinking about the move... and shipping everything from the west coast! ($$$). Do you have any thoughts on what you will do?
  2. Will anyone be heading out to YSON from the Bay Area?
  3. Well, I live in Oakland, so if it was post marked yesterday, mail in the Bay Area usually arrives the next day... so while still hopeful, I'm thinking that it's going to be the 15. Here's to wishing everyone activity-packed days until they arrive!
  4. It would be pretty frustrating if they waited until the 15th (and similarly, our group was told the 1st)... deposits at other schools would be a tough thing to lose. ):
  5. Jan 29th (: ONP Very much looking forward to it. The email came this morning around 7am PST. I live in the Bay Area. Fingers crossed for everyone who is waiting to hear. (:
  6. What a brutally exciting process this is!!! Just heard from UCSF and JHSON last night: Yay for interviews! Being that much closer is really amping up my anxiety! Good thoughts and fingers crossed for everyone waiting to hear.
  7. I have been avoiding this site since initially posting... everyone's enthusiasm is catching, and I am trying to avoid investing in it and experiencing a possible heartbreak if I don't get in (I should say, if I don't get in this year :). I have also applied to JHU and Yale, the only other schools where prereqs were at a minimum (I'm still finishing them up). I am interested in oncology, but really appreciate that JHU allows for a bit of flexibility should the student learn half way into their RN/BS year that they've discovered they are particularly good at, passionate about another area. I'm in the Bay Area, so UCSF is my first choice, but with acceptance rates so low, and the applicant pool so strong, I'd be willing to move to nowhereville at this point. (: How is everyone else managing the stress of it all?
  8. I thought I would start a new thread. I've read quite a bit of the activity from previous classes and I thought it would be great to get a community of support started for those who have applied for UCSF's MEPN program... not just for us now, but for the future applicants who will read our posts! (: (the added bonus is this thread will be in gender neutral territory Would love to hear the stories of folks who are applying to nursing programs (UCSF and otherwise). Thanks!
