That is correct, we are out of the running. That means they did not even forward our info to the hiring department because they had many applicants that were more competitive. I'll be applying again for the Summer!

I got a " referred to the hiring department" for PCU and Neuro ICU. My ED and Oncology were " other's more competitive." Just waiting to hear back from them now for an interview. They told me it's just the initial screening so I'm assuming they're going to scrub those who were referred to the hiring manager for the unit and see who is eligible for an interview.

My friend and I both got calls yesterday, interview screening, from Oncology managers. They plan to hold in-person interviews soon.

No word on my PCU app yet other than referred. Based on my experience last round each unit invites 6-8 candidates to interview out of the 100 or so applicants.

I received a call as well. From my understanding there are 3 different departments, accepting 2 new grads for each. Just a screening call, really nice. Anxious to see how it all plays out.

I haven't heard anything yet :( only the initial email saying I was referred to hiring department.

Did anyone receive any updates after the initial email about being forwarded to the hiring manager for med/surg?

I still haven't heard anything from the NICU aside from the email about being referred to hiring department. Is that still the case for you?

Wow I'm surprised they're interviewing next week! My application for UCSD Med-Surg still says "referred to hiring department"
