I saw many other threads from the previous years so I figured I would start a new one for the 2018 cycle. I recently got accepted after applying for the February 17th deadline to my first choice, Avery Point. I just wanted to connect with everyone else that is interested in this program or anyone that is going to be in this program!

I was told they will be selling MDF kits but we have an option to buy our own. Two preferred brands are MDF and Littmann (I did little research online). As well, we will need blood pressure cuff, penlight, Kelly clamp, watch and Iclicker. Nobody shared the list of the books yet, however, I am not planning to buy until the orientation on Oct 13. It maybe some changes in what they want us to use so I will wait and then shop around. There is a facebook group for CEIN 2018 if you haven't join it yet.
Hey! Has anyone heard back from the August cycle yet? I know it's a little early but last years aug cycle started hearing back beginning of sept, I'm trying my best not to get overly anxious lol
I have some questions for anyone that is currently in the program/went through the program already.
How many books are we required to buy, how did you purchase the books, does uconn sell them in a bundle or can you also buy them off of amazon, and do you use the books frequently? I was one of those college students that rarely used books and actually stopped purchasing them so I wanted to know how helpful and useful they are. Thank you :)
EDIT: I also have a lot of down time right now and wanted to maybe study in advance if I could just so i can familiarize myself with the material. Any suggestions?
I finally received my acceptance email to Stamford! I wish the rest goodluck! I'm beyond excited for this journey! Is there a 2018 CEIN Facebook group created yet that anybody know of?
are more people hearing back?? I applied for the June deadline way back in the beginning of June and I'm starting to feel hopeless I haven't heard a single thing
Pink_rose2 do not loose your hope! I think anyone who was not offered a spot yet maybe reconsider as some people change their minds and do not accept the offer.
I would follow up with Dorine! I originally applied for June but wasn't considered until the August date due to some iasues with my application but had to call to find this out :/
Are people getting emails or something in the mail? Trying to figure out what I should be looking out for! And if its email is it a specific time of day?! ( You can probably tell I'm anxious!)
Mine was an email. I was looking for a letter in the mail so it was a total surprise. I don't think there's a specific time to look out for. The wait is the worst part by far! Good luck!!
