U.S.A. Connecticut

Hi Everyone!

I saw many other threads from the previous years so I figured I would start a new one for the 2018 cycle. I recently got accepted after applying for the February 17th deadline to my first choice, Avery Point. I just wanted to connect with everyone else that is interested in this program or anyone that is going to be in this program!

I'm really excited to hear from you all and good luck to everyone who is still waiting to hear back or applying for the other deadlines! :)

i was just moved off the waiting list yesterday and can't get my dr app til monday so now i'm worried i won't be able to get it all done.. eep. thank you though !

As long as you know that you're immune to them you shouldn't worry about it too much! Like if you have your vaccine records and know that you've received the proper vaccines then you should be immune. Goodluck though and congrats for getting of the waiting list!

the only one i'm worried about is the hep B because to my knowledge i haven't received the series, i have no idea. thank you!

They may decide to give you additional time to get everything in order because of how late you were taken of the waiting list. I think as long as everything is in before the start of classes it should be fine. I've talked to several people about this because I was not immune to varicella and had to get a booster done. I was afraid that my Titer might not be done before the 13th. But people have assured me that they are somewhat lenient for the immunization dates as long as it's not too far away from the November 1st due date. I hope this helps!

Hi there! My application was verified since 02/13/18 and I'm still waiting to hear back. I've heard back from 2 other schools (got accepted to both), but UCONN is my #1. They said I will hear back "by the end of March". I check everyday hoping to see that acceptance letter. Fingers crossed.
