UCLA New Grad Summer 2012 program

I have a question, or well several, if you all would be so kind to provide me some general information...

For all of you that applied and received an interview,

Have you already graduated, taken the NCLEX and are currently licensed?

And did any of you hold a previous RN job in between from when you graduated and then applied for this program?

I'm a curious student wondering about my options nearing graduation and any information about the application process would really help me. Thank you!

yes. but when i was in school. i noticed my classmates that were getting interviews had some kind of health care experience outside of clinicals AND had their IP

I received an interview...I have not graduated yet, I will in may. I have not taken NCLEX, so not currently licensed. Did not hold a previous RN job....becaue Im still in school. However I had a summer nurse internship in the ICU, as well as did my praticum, and a full clinical rotation in the ICU. hope this helps =)

I was offered an interview for the NICU. I don't not have my RN license yet and I will be graduating in may. but I do however work at MD Anderson Cancer center and I am an intern there outside of my clinical experience.

Those who will be interviewed for NTICU! Did you guys get email back from the manager for the specific time and date for the second interview? My friend sent the email, but still wating. Just wanted to ask you guys :) Thanks!

I emailed the director, too, but have not yet heard a response! :( The director most likely didn't check her email over the weekend, but I'm sure this week we'll get some responses! When I interviewed with her, she said it would take a few days for her to respond to the emails.

Secondly, does anyone know how many are getting hired into the Adult ICU at SM??

I interviewed on the 12 and no status change. Actually still says online assessment completed since 3/8

I interviewed for the NICU today. The 2 managers were very nice! I felt that I did a really good job and at the end they told me I did very well! I was shocked! I asked if they were doing second interviews and they said no only one. Did anyone else have an interview with them or know how many they are choosing??

I had an interview with them today as well. I felt I did a great job too and yes, they are very very nice and made the interview go by quickly and easily. And they also told me I did very well (Lol) urm, I'm hoping they really meant it and not just saying to everyone...lol jk.

I did ask them how many they were hiring. She said 5-6 at the most.

@kv07 oh man. that's not good lol. lets hope we were the top 2! lol but man that makes me nervous. I saw the list and it had about 10 names down. she said we should hear back in 1-2 months!
