  1. Hey jojonavy, so it turns out that the school made an error :/ I actually didn't get admitted and am still an alternate. However I'm way at the bottom of the waitlist so they kept encouraging me to apply next year... I was pretty bummed out. I guess it all works out in the end though because I'll be going to UCI for my FNP license this Fall I mean of course I wish I got into UCSF but maybe it's not such a bad thing after all?
  2. Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone is still on this forum? I actually got an email yesterday from admissions saying that I was admitted to the FNP program! However it was confusing because it said on my status that my application was "declined". Definitely will follow up tomorrow. Has anyone ever faced this discrepancy? Pretty anxious!
  3. Hi everyone! So I contacted the coordinator of the FNP program. She told me that currently all applicants offered admission to the FNP specialty have accepted their offers. And she also said it was unlikely to be admitted as an alternate if you are higher than #5 on the list. Seeing as how I'm currently higher than #5, I was advised to apply next year if I'm not accepted to another program this year. I'm still waiting to hear back from another school. Either way, I wish you all the best of luck on your journeys and congrats again!!
  4. Congratulations woofyrn and G in Scrubs!!
  5. @tinatb Thank you so much!
  6. Congratulations to everyone on their acceptances!!! That's fantastic news! I wish everyone the best! :) Does anyone know specifically how to get in touch with the coordinator for the FNP specialty? I just want more information on my alternate status. Thank you!
  7. Hi everyone! Congrats to all those who have been selected in the MSN programs! I applied to the FNP concentration and I have also been chosen as an alternate. I tried to call for more specifics but they couldn't tell me what number alternate I am They did say though that the latest they would be accepting alternates into the program is late July (if an alternate is needed).
  8. Thank you jojonavy for starting this thread! I applied to the 2014 FNP program but haven't heard of anything yet! Crossing my fingers!! KelsRN, congratulations!! That is super exciting!! :) Did UCSF call you or did you check your status on the computer?
  9. Hey everyone! I contacted HR today and they told me that they will be calling people for interviews from July 23 to August 17. I was a bit confused because I thought this was the period when they would conduct interviews, but the nurse recruiter told me that they would just be contacting for interviews at that time... so, I guess we have to still wait? Such a long waiting process! Also, the recruiter said that you will get an email if you are not selected for an interview.
  10. Thanks for the update, houseblew!
  11. Thanks for the update! And I applied for Neurosciences ICU and Surgical ICU :)
  12. Oh wow, congrats!! :yeah:May I ask what kinds of questions they had?? Were they basic interview questions??
  13. Nothing yet!! Ahh this wait is killing me! lol
  14. Hey, guys! So I contacted HR and they told me that the interview process begins on July 16. If you do not hear back from them by that date then you were not selected to interview. Good luck to everyone!!!
  15. I definitely plan on applying! USC is a great opportunity and I absolutely love LA! I hope to get an interview!!! :)
