UCLA New Grad Residency Winter 2017

Published

Hi Everyone!

UCLA's application for their new grad residency program opened today so I thought I'd make a forum where we could all chat & support each other through the stressful process. Good luck to everyone who applies!

STAFF UPDATE

Tell us about UCLA by visiting University of California (UCLA) School of Nursing | Peer Reviews.

I didn't either :( Did you ever check with HR?

Mine was actually in my spam folder, check there to see if you find a link.

Hey everyone, does anyone know if "Routed to interviewing supervisor" means that we will get an interview? Thanks in advance.

I believe so! Has anyone heard from perinatal or OR units?

I believe so! Has anyone heard from perinatal or OR units?

So far, I have only heard of ICU status changes. I think I've seen those units notified later in the years past.

Hi all!

I am a new grad from Boston, took over 3 months for the CA BRN to give me my ATT so I missed out on the start date of the summer/fall cohorts.

Hoping I'll get an interview this time around in either Peds or Onc.

Good luck to everyone!

Oh no! Did you get an offer last time around? I had heard UCLA was very flexible with the out-of-state applicants, but maybe that wasn't your experience. Did you hear that it was easier to get your ATT from CA or your home state and have it endorsed?

I actually didn't apply to UCLA last time.

However, I did receive offers from other new grad programs but lost the opportunity due to lack of licensure.

I heard that it would take even longer to get the ATT from my home state and then have it endorsed.

I'm currently trying to have my MA license by endorsement, and I have to wait 3 months for the CA BRN to send the required paperwork to my home state.

It's been a tough battle for sure :(

I applied to Perinatal and OR training program (because I rotated through the OR a few times and enjoyed it). I think invites to interview start to go out this week. Good luck to everyone!

I got an update to "routed to interviewing supervisor". I applied to the med-surg, step down units

Hi everyone! I applied to OR and Med Surg/Tele. My status was changed to "routed to interviewing supervisor" last Friday. I was talking to someone who's in the OR Training Program now and he said there were about 1,000 applicants just for OR during the last round, eek!

Anyone hear anything from the ER department?

I applied to the OR and oncology. My application has been routed to interviewing supervisor as of today.
