UCLA New Grad Residency Winter 2017

Published

Hi Everyone!

UCLA's application for their new grad residency program opened today so I thought I'd make a forum where we could all chat & support each other through the stressful process. Good luck to everyone who applies!

Has anyone heard from perinatal?

I applied to perinatal and OR. Still haven't heard! Getting anxious 😬

I applied to Psych and Peds, and my status changed to "Routed to interviewing supervisor" yesterday. Good luck everyone!

Hi all! I applied to ER (1st choice) and Med Surg/Tele (2nd Choice). My status changed today! I am coming from the east coast.. with very little ER experience as I've picked up a non-trauma ER job here that I did include that in my resume! Hoping to hear something soon as far as interviews!

Anyone hear of any interview invites yet?

Specializes in SICU; CTICU; ICU float.

The end of the first week of November they'll send out e-mails

first choice was peds and second choice was picu. My status did not change yet, anyone else that had a pediatric interest see a status change?

also...under what tab will you see your status change?

will the "All required documents received" change to "routed to interviewing supervisor"?

The end of the first week of November they'll send out e-mails

Thanks for the info @jakemckyndel! It was originally listed as "Interview invites will be sent starting October 17, 2016. Interviews will be held in the week of November 14, 2016," but I figured dates would get pushed back since they extended the app deadline. Wonder if that means that the interview week will be pushed back too.

first choice was peds and second choice was picu. My status did not change yet, anyone else that had a pediatric interest see a status change?

I applied to picu as first choice, and peds as second and I have not heard back or had any status change as of today.

From what I've read about last year's winter cohort and previous application they sometimes don't get back to us until the very last week before interview invites are sent out (especially for pediatrics).

Still doesn't stop me from checking my status 2x a day though

Hello,

I'm not applying to UCLA just yet but I was wondering how many places do they allow you to apply to for a job? I thought the max was 3 but it looks like most of you only applied to 2.
