  1. Hey CurryRN, I got a call and job offer today for the SMH ER, the unit I interviewed for. Fingers crossed for you!!
  2. Hey CurryRN! I interviewed for Santa Monica ER, what about you??
  3. Anyone hear from Ronald Reagan ER or Santa Monica ER yet?
  4. Anyone hear back from ER yet, only had one interview and no contact or reference check so far? Please Update!
  5. I actually got an interview invite the day after my original post! I am also an external applicant. Are you graduating this December with your BSN or MSN?
  6. For the people who were invited from the ED for an interview, were you each internal applicants?
  7. anyone hear anything from 6 West?
  8. Anyone hear anything from the ER department?
  9. Has anyone been contacted thus far? Since turning in my packet, I have heard nothing...just wondering if they have given a date that we might hear by?
  10. I understand your frustration, unfortunately CA is the slowest at these types of things. Even graduates who went to school in CA have to wait 10-12 weeks just to receive their ATT to then take NCLEX. Therefore, until you can get a hold of someone, its a waiting game. I would suggest to anyone else reading this forum, if you plan to work in CA after graduation or you left CA for nursing school but plan to return, schedule your NCLEX in CA to avoid the delay in getting a CA license
  11. I asked my clinical instructors from Med-Surg and Pediatrics. The application waiting game is the worst, has anyone had interviews before or have advice for what to expect if we get the opportunity?
  12. My resume is 2 pages. I have heard that it should be condensed to 1 page if on your second page there is only 3-4 lines. It depends on how much relevant experience one has but I see no problem with 2 pages max
  13. Hi everyone! I applied to this residency but had some technical difficulties with post office. Anyways, I hope everything works out! What units did everyone apply to and what other hospitals are you looking at? I applied to ED and 6W
  14. Thanks for clarifying! So is this everyone's first time applying to UCLA and is everyone a new grad or in school, what other residencies are you applying to, and where is everyone from?? This is my first time applying to UCLA, I also have applied to CHLA. I graduate in December and I currently live in Northern Cal. Sad to be leaving the area that pays the highest but OC is my hometown
  15. Does anyone know what the next steps are? I have heard that if we are selected for an interview, they will send us a packet to complete but has anyone else heard different? Is there an essay portion?
