UCLA New Grad Residency Program Winter 2019

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to start a thread for people who applied to UCLA's new grad nurse residency program! Lets keep each other updated!

I applied to pediatrics--oncology and PICU! Anyone has any updates?

I spoke with HR and they said that there was such a high volume wait until the first week of December to begin to hear back . They also said that even with the status of routed to hiring supervisor doesn't gaurentee an interview :/

Anyone applying anywhere else? I'm from out of state and although UCLA is my top choice I am aware of how competitive it is and need to start looking at other places too but since I'm not familiar with the area am unsure of which hospitals have residency programs or which hospitals will take new-grads right from the start. Thanks!

Just found this thread! I'm from Oregon and applied to PICU and general Peds. My status hasn't changed since I applied. Hopefully that's not a bad thing. Good to know that I'm in the same boat as some of you!

Just received an invite to interview for MICU at Ronald Regan!

Specializes in PCICU.

Congratulations @someonehiremeplz! That is so exciting! When is your interview?

11/30! I believe there are 4 spots for that day and then 3 spots for 11/26 as of now according to the sign-up list.

Awesome congrats! I applied for Surgical ICU and Cardiothoracic ICU... my status stills says "Online Assessment Completed"

Congrats and good luck on your interview!!

Nice! I actually applied first choice SM General ICU and second choice RR Neurotrauma ICU so MICU interview wasn't even on my radar but ill take it! Looking forward to hear from everyone else.

Just received an invite to interview for MICU at Ronald Regan!

Congrats! Did they call you about the interview or email you?

Specializes in Ortho/Trauma/Plastics.

Hey everyone! This is my first time posting on here and wanted to share my experience / keep up with everyone :) I'm an internal applicant that applied 9/29 (as soon as the application opened!) and I applied to 8ICU + Med Surg. Good luck to anyone! If I can help anyone with any questions about the hospital please ask! :)
