UCLA New Grad Residency Program Winter 2019

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to start a thread for people who applied to UCLA's new grad nurse residency program! Lets keep each other updated!

Routed to interviewing supervisor

Has anyone else had a status change? If so which units did you apply to?

I also had a status change - applied to acute peds / PICU -

I called HR today and they said that they would continue to let people know these next two weeks. Interviews will be the last week of November and first week of December.

"Routed to Interviewing Supervisor" - applied to Acute Peds/ regular Med Surg

Anyone know if these interviews will be one on one or group intervews? Also, for people who are out of state (like myself) can they do skype interviews ??

My status also changed to "routed to interviewing supervisor" - applied to General ICU and Med Surg @ Santa Monica

I'm also from out of state..not sure what options they have for us, although I wouldn't mind flying there

Do you guys know that if the status changed that we will get an interview

I'm actually already flying there Dec 7th after my finals in CT lol so I hope I won't have to fly out there twice or hope the dates coincide with the days I will be there! Fingers crossed !!

Also, do you mind if email you about your plan in getting licensed in CA, I've heard horrible stories about people loosing their job offers due to CA outrageous waiting times...

on previous UCLA forums people whose status changed received emails from recruiters to schedule an interview.. i'm assuming that's the next step for us too

Yes no problem! I'm trying to get info from other CA transplants on the licensure process too. I'll PM you my email

I recently endorsed my license to CA it took about 3 months total for the process. I also wouldn't waste money on a temporary license bc you get that a week before your license becomes active

Hi everyone, just found this thread! Thanks for making it, it is nice to gain some insight on how the process is going for others. I have applied for Ronald Reagan Cardiothoracic ICU and Santa Monica General ICU. Applied on 10/2/18 and my status changed 11/2/18 to "Routed to interviewing supervisor". I am VERY excited, but trying to not get my hopes up yet until I receive that call or email about scheduling an actual interview. Good luck everyone!
