UCLA New Grad Program 2010

Published

Has anyone heard anything back from the UCLA New Grad Summer Program for 2010? I applied in the beginning of February and have only had a phone interview so far, with no feedback yet. Any info or others' experience would be much appreciated, thank you!

I'm going to be interviewing with the liver transplant icu and neuro/trauma too! so nervous, don't know what to expect.Any advice would be awesome. I am out of state too which makes me even more nervous. Do any of you know if they reimburse for flight tickets for an interview or only if we move out there?

I think reimbursement is only for relocation (anything greater than 250 miles one can recieve $1,500) but wouldn't hurt to ask regarding flight/hotel expenses =)

Yeah thats what I thought too :(

Congrats to those of u who got the job!

Hi Nurseteee,

I'm new to this site and I know I cannot send PMs yet but do u know if I can receive them? I will be interviewing with liver transplant unit and was wondering if you can give me some interview tips. Thanks!

I sent you a PM. Let's see if it works :)

They do not reimburse for interviews or physicals, nothing except the DAY that you move. I had come down to look at apartments and to get my TB test/physical/urine test (this was obviously after I was hired and was required before I started work) and they did not reimburse for that at all-flights, hotels, and rental car were all out of pocket. They reimbursed me for a) UHaul b) hotel for one night the night before I moved in c) gas to get to LA only on the day that I officially relocated... and I think that's it?

I got a call!! The recruiter called me to let me know she's going out of town and that the other recruiter would be calling me on Monday to set up an interview time! I cannot believe it, I had given up long ago! She said, "There are a few spots left in the NICU, but many places available in the PICU".

Oh- interview tips would be appreciated! PM me!

Congrats on receiving the call... and good luck on the interview. I interviewed for another unit at RR, only advice I can give is don't be nervous, it really depends on the unit but I didn't get any scenario type questions. By the way, has anyone been offered a position at RR?

Thanks! It will be hard not to be nervous...the interview is pretty much a dream come true. Good to know there most likely will not be scenario questions...

Hey I'm new to this forum, so I'm not sure how everything works. It has been so nice to hear from everyone as we all go through this experience. I have been asked to set up an interview and I'm from out of state. Has anyone else from out of state had to interview? I'm not sure how it all works flying out there and everything. I was also wondering if there was anyone I could talk to about their interview at UCLA....I'm already so nervous!
