Hello all, I'm preparing to apply to UCLA's Master's Entry Clinical Nurse (MECN) program, and so have decided to start a thread for others that planning to also apply and/or interested.
Taking into consideration that admissions begin September 1, 2017 and end on November 1, 2017, this conversation will hopefully progress from now (the lead up) through the time of notification for acceptance/denial/waitlist (between February and April 2018).
In the meantime, is anyone planning to attend any of the upcoming information sessions?
Last year they told us March-April but we got our acceptances in the middle of February, hope it will be similar for your cohort!
Hello @SFnurse2bI submitted my original application back in Oct. 25, 2017 using DecisionDesk and received a separate email from UCLA to input recommender's information. Ever since then I've received about 2-3 application status email from M.C. and I wasn't aware of the new system until today. I did speak to someone at Graduate admission over the phone a lot today and hopefully my application is complete and get a confirmation from M.C. by email soon. And Yes, March is lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng way from now.
Yes - I heard mid-Feb. You can check this portal:
In other, less anxiety inducing news, UCLA beat USC in bball yesterday. so that's great!
I get the feeling this cycle is going to be a little delayed with responses considering the whole LOR system crash. Hopefully that's not the case and we do start hearing back in mid Feb.
Good luck all!
