Hello all, I'm preparing to apply to UCLA's Master's Entry Clinical Nurse (MECN) program, and so have decided to start a thread for others that planning to also apply and/or interested.

Taking into consideration that admissions begin September 1, 2017 and end on November 1, 2017, this conversation will hopefully progress from now (the lead up) through the time of notification for acceptance/denial/waitlist (between February and April 2018).

In the meantime, is anyone planning to attend any of the upcoming information sessions?

Any one from the alternate list who has been offered admission of late?

I'm on the alternate list and I have not heard back.

Is that what you're asking for?

Anyone got anything from mail?

Wondering if they send something in the mail too

Hello, has anyone on the alternate list received any update? If no one has, does anyone know around when we might hear back? Thanks in advance :)

@hopefulwithsmiles you might want to email RF or MC and they are prompt to reply re:current wait list standing. Goodluck!

has anyone on the waitlist heard anything yet?

I was on the waitlist and I just got an email saying that their class for fall 2018 is complete and they are no longer looking for alternates. I was 17th on the waitlist. Hopefully people who were higher on the waitlist had better luck!

Waitlisted at #3 from #11. I guess it is more competitive this year, they only got as far as #8 from the alternates. I don't know if I should still take Epi in the summer-like what is the probability that one the 70 will bail out LOL.

has anyone on the waitlist heard anything yet?

What is your waitlist # if you don't mind me

Asking ?

Thank you so much for this! My long term goal is to become a Psych NP, and my current background is a masters in psych and psychiatry research work experience at UCSD, VA, and UCLA. I have been told it is not smart to disclose the intention of becoming an advanced practice nurse and that the statement of purpose and letters of rec need to be general. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

recently withdrew, hope you get the email/call. good luck

someone is gonna be super happy from the waitlist, will be withdrawing today

best of luck

Does anyone know if the spots have been filled? Thank you.
