Hello all, I'm preparing to apply to UCLA's Master's Entry Clinical Nurse (MECN) program, and so have decided to start a thread for others that planning to also apply and/or interested.
Taking into consideration that admissions begin September 1, 2017 and end on November 1, 2017, this conversation will hopefully progress from now (the lead up) through the time of notification for acceptance/denial/waitlist (between February and April 2018).
In the meantime, is anyone planning to attend any of the upcoming information sessions?
I received an email last week saying to submit the final transcript by January 15th (because I am still in school and will graduate in the end of December) and to make sure that all of my recommenders have submitted the recommendation by January 15th (I think one or two of my recommenders have not submitted it yet). So I don't think they will review my application until both of these things are submitted. and I know that final grades for my school are not due until January 2nd. so it is a waiting game for me.
is anyone else having some trouble figuring out actual costs of programs?
I got accepted to the USF MEPN program (~$52k, I believe?) and was going to decline because I thought it would be too expensive since it's a private school, but it's actually cheaper than UCI ($58k)... I was wondering if anyone knew how much the UCLA MECN program is?
Hello, this is actually my first time posting here, I just signed up. I've been speaking to M.C. at the UCLA MECN program and I was wondering if any other applicants had the same problem as I did. I've been having trouble tracking the status of my application through DecisionDesk since the ID/PW did not work and today I found out they filed for bankruptcy back in Nov. 2017 and UCLA is now using something called a "Slate" I was informed to re-do and re-submit the application online by the graduate admissions which I just submitted. They told me they sent out an email back in Nov. 2017 regarding the change and the re-submission but I never got one. Hopefully nobody else here is having the same issue.
Hi @smdes1gn,
I think that I had submitted my application a few days before the deadline and the only thing I was asked to re-submit via a different system was the letter of recommendation references. I haven't tried logging into Decision Desk but I did just get an email from Jeimy that my application is now complete (I just sent in final grades for last semester which posted in the beginning of this month for some of my pre-requisites). They told me they will be sending out info at the end of March. Which.... feels like forever from now!

I received an email update from RF today re: document deficiency. How is everyone doing?
