UCLA MECN 2016

Hey there, I am planning on applying to the UCLA MECN 2016 program and was wondering if anyone else out there was applying as well. Just curious about other applicants and hoping to go through this application process with some other people! Would love any feedback. Thanks :)

It definitely is. Well it sounds like you've worked hard on it. Yea I applied to a couple of others as well, but Im hoping I at least get in somewhere lol. If not this one.

Yeah! I think my SOP is very good and with the people that are reading mine it is just making it spark even more because they assist in wording things in different ways. I am applying to multiple schools like Azusa, UC Davis...and more I have a long list as well as out of state schools. UCLA is my #1 pick.

Oh cool ! I went to undergrad at UC Davis. No one has to answer, but is anyone taking in progress classes? Also are the GPA's on the high end??

My undergrad is Fresno State, I am taking in progress courses and I will have 2 more classes in progress next semester before I am complete with all pre-reqs. My GPA is about 3.0.. not the best but I believe with my background, experience and disadvantage that I still would be a strong candidate coming straight from undergrad.

I'm taking 1 right now.. my last one which is chemistry... thanks god epidemiology is part of my undergrad..

Awesome. I have one course in progress but I am retaking it because I got a C+ in the class (psychology). Yes @RinaMariee that does help a lot! Everything isn't about grades. I have to take epidemiology as well, though. If admitted, I will just take it at UCLA. We should hear back in February/January??

You have a lot of experience. With all those of jobs of CNA, county protective services and behavior health it can be very understanding that you got C's on your prerequest. Are you in Los Angeles Area or in a different area? Do you plan to moved once accepted?

Hi my name is Minnisha. I applied to UCLA MECN program in 2013 and didn't get in. I ended up working at ucla as a healthcare administrator. I decided to reply to the program for Fall 2016. I think we could all use the help and support of one another.

If you have the document for a Fee Waiver for the $90 application... Do you still need to pay the 90 before submitting the application?
