UCLA MECN Fall 2014?

I don't think it makes sense that waiting list people get notice ahead of acceptants. I feel all the acceptants already got their notice emails.

I received an email that I am lucky number 13 on the waitlist! I guess I need to sweat it out a little while longer. Happy to finally know something though. Good luck to the rest of you and from a selfish standpoint, I hope UCLA's delay is good news for me and that at least 13 will commit somewhere else. I have read of a couple on this blog already that will decline.

Congrats to being on the waitlist! That's great. Already people on the forum have said they were going to turn down their position at UCLA. So it's likely you'll get in!

I've been reading this thread for awhile w/o an account... finally made an account today to say hi and give my 2cents, hehe. (hi!) I too have yet to receive any acceptance/wait-list/rejection by email/mail/decision page... and I'm dying with anticipation!

I think that the workload is split between the admissions counselors; they probably have batches determined by randomized last name initials...it looks like --------- has the "S" and "H" last names, sent out her batch's acceptances on Monday, and is sending out her wait listers today. Meanwhile ----------- has yet to send out his batch's acceptance emails...

At least that's what I hope! I received emails from both --------------- after I submitted my application, and my last name starts with "G".

To me, it makes more sense that they would divide up the workload by program. So RF sends out MECN while -------------- sends out MSN or what-not. However, I honestly think they are all coming from ---------------- since she's the director of admissions. However, I'm definitely hoping I'm wrong :)
