  1. Has anyone gotten any calls for interviews lately? About a week now with no other units sending out calls for interviews it seems.
  2. As a cohort 11 member, we had some delay in getting accepted to the actual school too....don't worry about it. Ask your questions at orientation if you haven't heard anything by then. The hard part is getting accepted into the actual program, everything else is just logistics.
  3. For those of you on the waitlist, there's hope! They've taken quite a bit of people from the waitlist in past years. The #40 rings a bell but I can't say for sure. Anyway, I know a few people who are declining their spot...(waitlist and acceptance) including myself. I have already been taking steps toward doing a different program (namely, quitting my job). To switch gears this late in the game is not really an option. UCLA is a great program but at the end if the day, it didn't 100% meet my needs. I can't imagine I'm the only one who feels this way. I wouldn't be surprised if more people than usual are taken from the waitlist this year. Good luck everyone still waiting!!!
  4. Yes, I know someone who was notified who only applied to MECN
  5. Cohort 11?
  6. I'M IN! I'M IN!
  7. ::the calm before the storm:: No news on my end or anyone else I know who applied.
  8. Wait listed. Congrats to everyone who was offered admission!
  9. LOL lgripe! We could all be on Law and Order after all the sleuthing we do to get information!
  10. wait, did anyone else get this email? Now I'm paranoid about not receiving one.
  11. @Gettothechoppa- it all depends on what you like. Pasadena is great for families, it also has some nightlife if you live near old town. It's also not as crowded as LA. Downtown is also great and a LOT of new stuff is being built there, but it's still very much in the process of being gentrified so you need to be careful where you live. There's also the silverlake/echo park/Los Feliz area that is just west of downtown. It has a reputation for being "hipster" bit it's VERY accessible to Hollywood, downtown, and CSULA. It's in the middle if the city so it's also more metropolitan than Pasadena. Good if you're 20-something and like to go out. It takes me about 20 min from silverlake to CSULA. Eagle rock and highland park are also great neighborhoods that would be an easy commute to CSULA, they are also a little removed from the city...they're near Pasadena. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask me any questions.
  12. Don't even get me started on doubting yourself! Every day I find something new to nitpick, to the point that I've convinced myself I won't be accepted....but still obsessively checking my email. So so so close!
  13. https://appstatus.grad.ucla.edu/Account/Login.aspx I think you can also type "UCLA decision status login" into google and it will also take you there
  14. @TLeeM, when I asked KH a few month ago, she said they typically get a bit over 200 applicants.
  15. I second that, @TLeeM! I've been obsessively checking here and my application status all morning.
