UCLA MECN Fall 2014?

Published

Hi- Is anyone applying to UCLA's MECN program for next fall?

so if they are on to waitlisters i'm assuming all those who got accepted have been notified already... :(

Congrats hill3032!! I'm sure you'll still get in! Does it say what spot you are on the wait list?

@peppymint thank you, it didnt specify the spot number, just asked if "you wish to be considered as an alternate" and I have to reply to the email by April 25.

Did it seem like it was directly to you? Or could it have been a mass email?

Who was your waitlist email from? We could still be going off our initial theory that one admissions counselor just did theirs first. I really doubt all admissions have been sent out.

@UVAHOO It was directed towards me, had my name "dear ...."

I would love to think this but logically, it makes zero sense to me that they would split it up like that but need to send the notices so far apart.

Also, doesn't ------------ work for --------------? I don't think they have the same position.

It was from --------------- and I believe the work load is split up. They are working on 5 programs at the same time and it just the two of them. i believe they are working the load at a different speed. i dont think its by name because my last name starts with H and the first accepted were a ton of S last names.

I've given up on trying to figure out the logic around all of this... I'm just waiting for ANY response. Ugh.

Same. I don't think they're done sending them out though, just like we're seeing from other programs.. people are receiving acceptances days apart

I wonder if they are notifying people first who applied to multiple programs? Has anyone gotten in that only applied to UCLA? I remember they asked that on the application.
