Hi- Is anyone applying to UCLA's MECN program for next fall?
Just notice that the numbers are increasing for the waitlisters.....the first person to post said their spot is #8, then the next said #13. There should be 70 wait listed folks. Only thing I see that is not so positive is that they have ranked the wait listed people. You cannot rank them and then have MC send out his too. I think this is the step 2 and step 3 will be the rejections.
This was my thought process too. Also, many people either don't know about this forum or publicly posting their opinions (even if anonymous) just isn't their thing. There could be a ton of others admitted but we would really have no idea.
UCLA is known for rejecting good applicants with great GPAs and stellar resumes for others -- they really look for a specific image. I'm not giving up hope until they tell me I'm rejected, but I guess if UCLA doesn't think I'm a good fit for their program, then I'll have to accept that. It doesn't necessarily mean that I'm a bad student or that I'm not going to be a good nurse. Maybe I would excel more in a different program that's more "fit" for me anyway. I guess the rest of us just have to look at it this way. If you really want it, each one of you will be a nurse someday. We'll just be taking different roads to get there :)
Congrats to everyone accepted, and good luck to those waitlisted!!

Every program has their own ideas of the students they want.
Hi there,
I've been lurking this forum also, but decided to post today! I can't bottle up my anxiety anymore lol.
But I do agree with @TLeeM. They can't rank those who are waitlisted if they divided the applications between 2 people. So all the acceptances must have been sent out already.
My hopes are diminishing, and I'm just expecting a denial already lol.
But at the same time, didn't the MSN group get their acceptances on different days? Just because it's ranked doesn't mean all acceptances have been sent. They probably already decided who was accepted, the ranking of the wait-list and the denials before sending any correspondence. They just have to contact people now, and with so many people and a short staff, maybe it takes a while.

Did the MSN group have any waitlisters notified yet?
