UCLA MECN Fall 2011

Hi everyone, I am new to the thread, I bumped into it yesterday and read it from first to last page, what a journey for all us this application process has been and still not complete. I applied to the MECN program as well and I am one us with no decisions yet. Last thing I know is that letters were mailed on Friday but I see that all of you know this already:). This weekend has been a torture, hopefully we find out our faith tomorrow! Nice to meet you all future nurses!!

I am at work today and will have to live vicariously through you guys checking your mail! Please post if you receive any news today. If you guys start posting that you've received news, I might just have to take a half day and speed home. :) Fingers crossed for everyone that hasn't heard yet.

OMG... I just got my mail and I'm accepted!!! Praise God!!! :lol2:

But since I still have not finished the Epidemiology course, there was also an instruction about what to do with that incomplete prereq course. When you decide that you will attend UCLA, you need to inform the school by March 18th. Good luck everyone! I'm excited to see who will be getting in today!

Another quick questions: I thought we could take that epidemiology course at UCLA- what are the instructions? Not that I'm assuming I'm accepted but just curious.

Did they send you a financial aid package too? Was it a big envelope?

Thanks everyone! Man I need to calm down lol.

So about the mail..

There were total 5 sheets in the mail for me.

1) acceptance letter

2) "Status Sheet/Admission Restrictions" sheet - it just states that I still have got Epidemiology class to do.

3) Summer Enrollment Survey - asks if I'm going to attend the summer session for Epidemiology.

4) & 5) on Financial Aid.

Congratulations in advance for those who will be accepted! And those who are not, do not be let down by your denial letters. I also have been denied (twice) before, but I know that these things only strengthened me and allowed me to know how much passion I have for nursing! So keep persevering and keep improving yourself and I'm sure the time will just fly by (it did for me)! Good luck everyone!
