UCLA MECN Fall 2011

I saw that the MECN application for UCLA has been posted today. Is anyone applying to the Fall 2011 program?? I haven't found a thread going on yet...Maybe we can share our questions/concerns regarding the application process here.

SO i just found out this girl I go to school with got an acceptance letter last week!!! So I dont know whats up with the process and now I am even more nervous because I know my grades and everything are MUCH better. UGH! The wait is too much!

What? No way. Last week? Then why are they saying they're sending them out in the beginning of March? Wow that does make me more nervous I guess Monday I'm going to start hounding the mailman. No one else on here has received anything so I'm not going to start freaking out yet...

I know, when I emailed them a few weeks ago they told me the first week in march too, so when I heard she got one I was stunned. I am wondering if she is lying but I dont think so. UGh!

I know it's weird but I'm kinda relieved that they're mailing them this year. At least I wouldn't have to dread checking my email and waiting for nothing. I just got two bad news today and I think I've had enough of receiving bad news via email (or lack of email). Today, I found out that USD emailed notification of acceptance and that CSULA started calling people for interview for March since Feb. 11 or 18th via email and I haven't received anything from either school. It's like no news is BAD news. :scrying:

I found out about both from this forum. I'm starting to think getting updates from AllNurses may have been a horrible idea. lol. Please pray for me, guys. :)

I agree that getting updates from this website is great but also terrible because I keep getting more and more information from other people and it starts to freak me out.

If the admissions person said they'd be sending out acceptances in the beginning of March I wouldn't be worried yet. If no one here has heard anything I think we're okay.

The other forum I've been participating in, for Duke, had lots of people getting the same information at the same time. We both got offers of interviews at the same time, and letters of acceptance or having been put on the second round at the same time. The point is that this website is a good representation of the application pool. If anything people that participate in these discussions are strong students!

I was starting to really freak out and had a lot of anxiety regarding being accepted or rejected from my schools. Then I remembered that I did everything I could and worked my butt off to have great applications. If I don't get in anywhere this year well then that's what's suppose to happen at this point in time. I'll reapply again for the spring or for next fall. I just remember that worse things have happened and it's not the end of the world.

The point is - relax- take a deep breath - and remember that many roads can lead to the same destination. Of course this is easier said than done!!

does anyone know for sure when decisions will officially come out and if it's via email and/or postal mail letters? thanks :)

They will be mailed out this year, no email.
