Hey guys!
I just applied for the summer 2015 accelerated nursing program at UCF.
I wanted to create this thread so people can see the application pool stats and just have somewhere to talk and vent during the "waiting game."
As for me...I'm a little on the low side sadly...
TEAS- 87.3%
Overall GPA: 3.467
Pre-req GPA: 3.65
Good luck!
I spoke to Mrs. Washam (I might have misspelled her name ) she said the email with all the additional info will go out next week. She said to focus on gathering our immunizations BLS from American Heart Association and financial aid. Just a heads up, there is a form that second degree students have to complete in order to receive financial aid. You have to meet with someone from the nursing department because part of the form must be filled out by the school of nursing. The form is on UCF's financial aid website.
Thanks. I didn't know about the form. I am getting on the ball with financial aid this coming week. Also, the nursing advisor at the general transfer orientation said an email will go out before the nursing orientation telling us what exact sections of the classes for summer session we need to enroll in.
Hello everyone! my name is Stephanie I was accepted to the 2015 accelerated nursing program. I am currently a teacher and I am leaving me position to attend nursing school. I am very nervous and excited all at the same time. Has anyone signed up for the HIPPA or HIV certification classes yet?
First of all, I would like to congratulate everyone who has been accepted to the 2015 accelerated nursing program! For those of you who did not get accepted, don't give up. I applied last year before taking chemistry and I did not get accepted.
I wanted to see if anyone who is planning on attending the 2015 UCF accelerated program would like to get together before the program starts. I want all of us to be successful in the program and in our future nursing careers.
My goal is to successfully complete the program while staying happy and healthy. We are going to have a lot on our plates so I think it is really important that we all support each other on this journey. If anyone is interested in trying to get together before the program starts please let me know.
I think a facebook group would be a good idea. For everyone who is interested in meeting up before orientation please send an me an email on my personal email [email protected] so I can organize a date.

I spoke to two advisors saying that was the case. They said everyone wait listed got in for the 2014 pool of candidates. But that's what I was told, it could be wrong.
