  1. Hey I'm in the 2016 UCF accel class. I graduate in August. I have books to sell, I can also help you with whatever. Did you all have a Facebook page?
  2. I spoke to two advisors saying that was the case. They said everyone wait listed got in for the 2014 pool of candidates. But that's what I was told, it could be wrong.
  3. I spoke to Mrs. Washam (I might have misspelled her name ) she said the email with all the additional info will go out next week. She said to focus on gathering our immunizations BLS from American Heart Association and financial aid. Just a heads up, there is a form that second degree students have to complete in order to receive financial aid. You have to meet with someone from the nursing department because part of the form must be filled out by the school of nursing. The form is on UCF's financial aid website.
  4. Do you all think we should be studying before the program... I'm brushing up on A&P but that's about it. Anyone else have any thoughts
  5. Wait list people...don't get too worried, everyone who was wait listed last year got in.
  6. I graduated from UCF back in 2011....I also live in the orlando area.
  7. I can't take this waiting I've already checked my email twice this morning I hope we find out tomorrow.
  8. SO I just found out from UCF Health Services you can use them for the physical and titers if you are not a current student if you have: United Health Care, Certain Cigna plans, Blue Cross or graduated in the fall from UCF I priced out the titers and it was the cheapest place to get it done...I have a high deductible for all the labs it was around $150
  9. I saw a few of you were asking about other programs. My really good friend just graduated from USF in December. She stated that she liked her program; however she had a really tough time with pharmacology and her clinical site was an hour plus from where she lived. The programs at USF and UCF are laid out the same way but with UCF if you are struggling they will let you step down to the basic program USF just kicks you out
  10. Hi my name is Ashley! I applied for both programs basic and accelerated. My stats 4.0 Science pre-recs 3.75 non science pre-recs 3.769 ver all for the first degree 86.0 on the teas. I heard everyone on the wait list for our program got in last year. The TEAS is a crap test....like we remember things from 5 grade science... the math part was the hardest for me...it wasn't the actual math it was the fact that I was not allowed a pencil and paper we had the boggy board things that were like gel and we would write on them...it took me longer because my work kept disappearing.
  11. I am applying for the second degree program and the basic. Trying to figure out if I will get in the second degree program. I got an 86 on the TEAS, and I have a 4.0 gpa in sciences pre recs. 3.75 in other pre recs and a 3.78 gpa overall from my first degree. I don't see a thread for the second degree program but what I heard from the adviser is that everyone on the second degree waiting list got in last year. The background check isn't hard. You just have to go get your fingerprints done and fill out some info on a website.
  12. Thanks for your insight. It was very appreciated!
  13. Just wondering...once you're in the program at west campus, say you have to move to Wesley Chapel in the middle of the program, will they let you switch the campus you're at? We might have to move for the fiance's job. It's not a horrible drive if I had to move but less driving means more studying :)
  14. So I have not read all the pages, but I did talk to the head of admissions for west campus. She said that decisions will be made by the 1st week of July and letters will go out then because applications were not due to June 2nd. I wouldn't start stalking the mail man till after July 4. I guess you are also taking rankings. 4.0 including AP2 Micro and Lifespan 86% on the TEAS and I'm apply to the Generic RN program at West Campus. Also, don't underestimate Mirco...it's a very hard class that will build your foundation for pharmacology. I would not take this online, because you really need to be hands-on...especially in lab!
