I am applying and have requested all my transcripts, I did decent on the Teas test with an 86. Undergrad gpa 3.45, pre req 4.0
I went to the info session last month it was a bit of a pain :angryfire to sit through just to get the application passcode because of all the redundant you should do some research if your serious questions lol.
I am excited and hope to get in to move forward with my life goals of community health nursing.
I am also applying to UNF's program too. Their website is really detailed with everything I ever wanted to know. One of the few schools that have their stuff together.
By the way, I glanced through the last few pages and put friend requests for the other students I saw. I haven't figured out how to send PMs to people...Anyway, you can add me as a friend on here if I missed you. I check this site quite a bit since it's the only up to date info I have on what's going on.
I have just been pulled from the waitlist and found this thread while I was scrambling for information. Good to know I'm not the only one with questions. The CPR class is full so I have to wait until April 24th. I guess I will also have to wait to meet everyone too (:

Congratulations!! Can't wait to meet you. I can say that I met a few folks from the program today at the UCF orientation and it's a wonderful group! be sure to add yourself to the facebook page as it seems we're communicating in both places now!

I just looked at housing around Orlando. I found a couple good apartments for around 700-800 dollars. Look up equityresidential.com and look at the Oviedo and Waterford areas. I heard those two areas are the best for living near campus.

Hope everyone had fun at orientation yesterday. Just curious if there will be anybody joining me at the may 14th transfer orientation?
Also for those who did orientation yesterday did you register for your classes also? If so what did the grand total for tuition come out to be for the first semester?
Hey there! We did register for classes, but all it was was a place holder so that we would not be penalized. Our classes are not ready for us to register per Alton so all we entered was a UCF code to hold our places. The school puts us in our labs and then someone will email us with a list of the classes we are to take....there isnt any time picking or section picking or anything like that...we take what they give but....there was an estimate around 5k or so for the upfront costs....thats not for sure just what a bunch of us were figuring! hope that helps somewhat

Did you guys talk about financial aid? Anybody else out there that don't have there parents or spouse paying for everything? I have money saved up for this program. Enough for living and upfront cost plus I have a few credit cards to get me by if need to.

UCFRN2010 I am doing my 14 orientation but I am doing a portion of it online. We should get together.
I actually attended the CPR today with Fire marshall Bill (if you don't know who that is google it). I was the one who was right on time.
The place in Tampa last week stood me up. Got to kill two birds in one stone. Found a potential place to live also :) 9.5 miles from campus townhouse near 417 & 408. Cool roommate 1 year younger than me. I really wanted to avoid those student housing off campus 4/4. What a relief:cool:. Might attempt to look at a closer place but seems really good. I know I've already asked this but I really didn't get an answer. Has anyone received a confirmation for the items they've uploaded to Magnus? All my requirements still display the "pending approval" label. Also my background check is still pending, and it's been 6 business days so far (they said it would only be 3-5). Has anyone received their completed background check yet? I know I'm probably being a little neurotic but I did everything early so I would not have to be stressed out when April 9th rolled around. Thanks for your input.
No my background was completed like Tuesday last week, well at least thats when I noticed it.
My items are still pending on the magnus tracker.

Also, for those who did the orientation. Did you also signup for your health insurance through UCF? I'm curious because I haven't decided where I'm getting mine from yet, and was curious on the cost through the school. I found Blue Cross Blue Shield GoBlue program for $27/month, they also have a pretty good looking HSA style Insurance for $97/month and that one seems to offer a lot of coverage. I may just get the GoBlue plan due to the price though.
