UC Davis RN Residency July 2014 (Summer)

Hi everyone! I thought I'd start a thread on here for those who applied to the UC Davis RN residency program that is to start in July of this year. I applied and my status is still "020 Appl" so looks like it hasn't been reviewed yet. I'm super nervous and super stoked at the same time because this is a very prestigious hospital and the university itself is always up to par with technology and research and talent! Anyways, feel free to leave comments, suggestions, q&a's, etc...so we can all help each other. Finding the first job is always stressful and nerve wracking! And I'm not good at interviews so...there's one strike! POST AWAY!

i got a call to interview next week. Has anyone interviewed already? any tips on the interview, like is it all personality questions or critical thinking/scenarios as well? Im not asking for specific questions just a general idea on what they will b asking. THANKS!

I heard people who precepted on burns got calls already. Which stinks cause that's where I precepted and I haven't heard anything. Good luck everyone!! We'll all find the perfect jobs for us eventually.

How'd your interview go "NewGradSac"? Any specific questions they asked?

For everyone else, is it safe to assume they have contacted everyone that they are considering and for the rest of us that didn't get a call, that's the end of that?

I thought I'd update folks here since I'm always looking here for updates myself. The nurse recruiters said today that they have yet to route all of the apps. They don't have a final list of departments hiring. Only a few of the departments have started with their new grad hiring process. That's why some people are getting calls. It sounds like it's just a little more waiting and being patient for us new grads.

yay RNbubu!!!!!!! Congrats! That's so exciting! When is it? Unfortunately I don't know anything about the interview process but maybe you can look back at the threads from previous cohorts? They called you at 6 am on a Saturday???

Is it safe to assume that if you haven't gotten a call by now you aren't getting one? My status changed to - Intv but alas no call for an interview.....

Congratulations to those who have received interviews! I will be applying for the September cohort and was wondering if anyone has hints or suggestions for this process. I am trying really hard NOT to get my hopes up since I saw on here that there were 1200 applicants! That is craziness. Anyway, does anyone know if their are any cutoffs (ie: GPA, internship requirements)? Does anyone who got an interview feel comfortable telling me what they think their application stood out?
