UC Davis Nurse Residency September 2013 cohort

The application filing just opened less than hour ago and they will accept the first 500 applications for review.

I thought I would start up a new thread so we can all share in the application process.

Also, anyone have any tips from prior cohorts with regards to the application process?

I just got a call for an interview!

Congrats! Did they do any phone screening questions? Did they tell you what unit?

Thanks! No phone screening, just asked if I was interested in interviewing and I of course said definitely! It's for the Accelerated access med-surg unit.

Congrats, Reebles! I'm curious, what dates are the interviews being held? Also, by any chance did they say when they would be making their job offers by? Thanks! :)

Thanks! I was offered times next week to interview. They didn't say when a decision would be made but I am assuming soon since Sept 30th is the start date.

Any calls for ICU? Applied for 100s of positions, but I really want this one! Congrats to those getting calls and best of luck in your interviews!

Also talked to HR rep today and they also would not give a timeframe of when interviews would be conducted, and said it was pretty unit specific...

I was wondering if people have gotten calls from other units. We've only heard from Reebles on here so far.

I'm really interested in critical care units and emergency.

Me too! Although HR told me that the ER is not hiring. He also said some departments can wait till the end of the month to interview. Good luck to everyone. If I hear anything else I will post. If anyone gets an interview please post so we can stay abreast.

I received a call from NICU for interview :D Stay positive folks. The best things in life are generally not obtained through the easiest path, just keep swimming!
