UC Davis Nurse Residency September 2013 cohort

Published

The application filing just opened less than hour ago and they will accept the first 500 applications for review.

I thought I would start up a new thread so we can all share in the application process.

Also, anyone have any tips from prior cohorts with regards to the application process?

Back home after my interview. I realized after I left I didn't ask how many positions they were hiring. Sorry. My interview was a panel with 3 people, but they were very warm and welcoming. The nurse manager said "the interview went realIy well" which gives me hope. She said I should hear back by the week of Labor Day, after all the interviews. Good luck everyone.

jyoppiniRN did they say if they were done calling for interviews for NICU?

Good to hear Reebles. Good luck to you!

@ Reebles - Congrats, sounds like it went very well, and Labor Day is not that far away. Thanks for sharing your experience!

They did not, I received the call while at work so I could not ask too many questions.

It has been a week since anyone's posted about getting an interview.

Anyone getting calls? What unit(s)?

I was just going to post a similar comment as BlueEyedGuy....what's up people? Are units even calling?

I'm losing hope.

Someone on a facebook group I am on had an interview today with the transplant/metabolic unit and was told that that specific unit was hiring 3 people. I don't know if that helps, but its more information.

Another person on FB had an interview with ICU... Not sure which one. ICU is what I wanted, so I hope they are not done yet...

my application status just switched from the "routed" to "intvw" status. I'm wondering how often UCD does residency, because I don't think I'll have my license by the start date. Can I ask to be considered for the next cohort?

The application statuses are not individualized, so if you haven't or do not in the future get a call for an interview, it just means they are in the interview process for all applicants.

So I guess it's safe to assume that those who did not get a call can move on with their lives now?
