Actually, they were definitely getting off the couch this year to have smoke outs. Myself, a friend, and her 3 and 7 year old went to Cal Academy of Sciences at Golden Gate Park not thinking about the date and there was a huge smoke out there. We realized it when leaving the museum because it took us over an hour to get out of the parking garage where a lot of those indulging parked and were still partaking.

Myself and two others that had interviews all have not heard anything yet, we were told we would find out the "week of Labor Day".

At a former hospital I worked at, pregnant nurses weren't assigned to isolation rooms...

Someone on a facebook group I am on had an interview today with the transplant/metabolic unit and was told that that specific unit was hiring 3 people. I don't know if that helps, but its more information.

Back home after my interview. I realized after I left I didn't ask how many positions they were hiring. Sorry. My interview was a panel with 3 people, but they were very warm and welcoming. The nurse manager said "the interview went realIy well" which gives me hope. She said I should hear back by the week of Labor Day, after all the interviews. Good luck everyone.

Thanks! I was offered times next week to interview. They didn't say when a decision would be made but I am assuming soon since Sept 30th is the start date.

Thanks! No phone screening, just asked if I was interested in interviewing and I of course said definitely! It's for the Accelerated access med-surg unit.

Lol, I guess I didn't apply. All these applications and jobs are starting to run together! One less applicant for you guys! Lol

City and County of San Francisco pays 62/hour for per diem, but as someone said, cost of living is quite high and you need to account for that....
