UC Davis Nurse Residency September 2013 cohort

The application filing just opened less than hour ago and they will accept the first 500 applications for review.

I thought I would start up a new thread so we can all share in the application process.

Also, anyone have any tips from prior cohorts with regards to the application process?

I had a friend who was interviewed a week before the program started... you never know!

Got some bad news today. I called Nurse recruitment, and the person I talked to said to her knowledge all the job offers had been made already. Disappointing, but it makes it easier for me to move on. Congrats to those who got a position, and good luck and wishes of endurance to everyone else.

I know of at least one unit that is still interviewing. So as far as being called for interviews, that part is over.

I know NICU is still interviewing but they will be hiring a mix of new grad and experienced nurses. A classmate of mine had an interview with ICU a couple weeks ago and has not heard back yet that I know of.

Myself and two others that had interviews all have not heard anything yet, we were told we would find out the "week of Labor Day".

Thanks Reebles and valpal15. Sounds like maybe some units are done interviewing, but not all. I heard that some people had gotten the skills survey already but hadn't heard of anyone getting offers yet.

Do you have any idea of the units those who got the skills survey interviewed with?

Reebles- Not sure which unit sent out the skills survey but heard from a UCD nurse manager today that she'd received one last week for one of the students she works with.

I interviewed for the NICU this past Wednesday, and just got called from HR to submit my references via the skills survey. So excited!
