UC Davis Nurse Residency Program- Fall 2022

Hi everyone! I am applying to the UC Davis Nurse Residency Program for Fall 2022 and could not find a thread for this application period. Figured I would start one!

Not sure if it matters when the application is submitted guys.  I specified PICU, NICU, Oncology, ER, any specialty LOL on my resume on the objective LOL. On CL, it was that I wanted to work there and why.

Mine changed to "routed for further consideration" today too. I specified NICU in my cover letter.

Just wondering, where did you do your preceptorship? Do they take that into account when routing to the different units if we did not specify a unit on the application?

I spoke to a recruiter at UCD and she said that she routes applications based on a few things. One, what unit our senior preceptorship was on, and two other UC Davis requirements that they look for. I would highly recommend getting in contact with the recruiters. You can do this by reaching out to them on LinkedIn.

My status just changed! Got “routed for further consideration”!

My application still hasn't changed. Didn't specify a unit, but emphasized experience in Cardiac/Cardiac PCU on my cover letter. I also submitted it on the 10th so that may factor toward a later response.

Has anyone who wants an adult ICU unit been routed?

Hi! A little late to the party LOL! My status changed on May 11th to "Routed for Further Consideration". I am still a nursing student and did not specify a particular unit. I stated in my cover letter that I was open to any department. Best wishes to everyone!!
