UC Davis Nurse Residency Program Spring 2021

Hi everyone!

Wanted to start a post so we can stay connected through the process! Application opens October 26, 2020 – November 2, 2020 for starts dates February 22, 2021 – April 19, 2021. Any one else applying?

If you are interested in multiple units, I would definitely express that in a cover letter, if for some reason the unit you precepted on isn't hiring, you can still get interviews on different units!

Hi everyone! I am also planning on applying to this residency but I am not from the California area and have only heard about the hospital and the residency program through their website/my own research. Is anyone who is familiar with the hospital willing to share their insight about it as well as the application process in terms of how competitive it is? I believe I would love to work for the organization but it is a big commitment to make having never visited the area and having no personal ties to the hospital. Thank you so much in advance and good luck to eveyone who is applying!

I'm applying from the gulf coast, and I was wondering the same thing too. Also, I applied to a hospital in a different region and I could have missed my interview because of time difference, so make sure you are aware of that.

Hi everyone!

First and foremost good luck! I'm currently nearing the end of my third semester of an RN program in NorCal, and will be applying to the Fall '21 cohort. I'm commenting to see how this all works as I have so many questions! It looks like your 4th semester precepting has a big impact, but ultimately it comes down to what departments they're hiring for. Is that correct? Again, good luck everyone! ❤️

Nope, mine says the same. I figure things may take a while, especially with this COVID resurgence, so I'm trying not to even think about it LOL

Me neither, but the FAQs say they reach out to candidates about six weeks before the program start date! Which means I think we will see something around the week of January 11th.

My application now says: "Application Under Review".  Did anyone else's change to that?
