  1. Got my Hokka Clifton 7's when I first started 6 months ago, and so far my feet have been the least of my worries
  2. Look out for Kaiser’s NCAL Nurse Residency Program as well. The apps for their Fall cohort should be opening up at the end of May. You really gotta follow closely though cause they’re only up for a very short amount of time.
  3. @RowRN_8855 Just a little more to add!: During the webinar they mentioned their plan is to at least do this New Grad program for 2021 and 2022, and are taking 100 new grads per Spring and fall cohort (so essentially 400 new grads in 2 years across the 21 NorCal locations). And where your experience can be really helpful is that they said in addition to Academic background, they also consider Kaiser experience as well when making decisions, and that includes clinicals! So looks like you're actually in a great spot after all! So woohoo for you! Hopefully you have a great preceptorship experience!
  4. Big CONGRATS to you!! woot woot! good luck on the rest of the process!
  5. Thanks so much for sharing that update! I'm huge believer in thinking way ahead so I'm so happy to hear things worked out so well for you! Also, @scorpiodez, LVN I've been looking in the Sacramento area too! It's been pretty tough since I went to school out of state in Virginia (got my BSN in Dec 2020 and came back home to Sac) but here's some new grad opportunities I've come across so far! Kaiser has a Norcal New Grad RN program that I just found out about the other day actually! It looks like they're accepting ADN, BSN, and MSN new grads. It has start dates for May '21 (apps open this March) and start dates for August/September '21 (apps open in May). https://nursescholars.kaiserpermanente.org/community/nurse-residency-program/ (also they have a Q&A webinar coming up this Monday and Tuesday 3/8 and 3/9) And Also Adventist Health-Rideout Hospital in Marysville (North of Sacramento) had a bunch of New grad positions that were posted in February, so perhaps there may be more new grad opportunities in May as well! UC Davis Health also has a Nurse Residency for the UC Davis Hospital located in Sacramento, but it looks like they only accept BSN and MSN new grads. In case you have any BSN friends though, their start dates are August-October '21 and the application date is April 5th - April 12th '21. It looks like.
  6. I always thought the same about Kaiser not hiring new grads, but I actually just came across this flyer the other day for their Norcal Nurse Residency Program! https://nursescholars.kaiserpermanente.org/community/nurse-residency-program/ KP-Nurse-Residency_flier_3_4-21-v2.pdf
  7. Nope, mine says the same. I figure things may take a while, especially with this COVID resurgence, so I'm trying not to even think about it LOL
  8. Okay thanks! I better get all this over-thinking out before the NCLEX LOL.
  9. Okay so I may be overthinking here, but hear me out LOL. On the website it says to only upload your Resume, Cover Letter, and Transcripts under the Resume portion, but on the online application there's still a separate place that gives you the opportunity to upload the cover letter.... so are you leaving that blank or do you think maybe they recently added that cover letter portion but didn't update the website?
