UC Davis Nurse Residency Program Fall 2019

Hi everyone!

Thought I would start a post so we can all keep each other updated on when we start hearing back from the units we applied to and the interview process!

What units did you all apply to?

I just applied and did not see a section on specific units to apply to. Did you?

Anyone know the timeline on when we may hear back? or any other useful info I know we just applied but it would be good to know ?

Mine isn't routed yet, is anyones routed? I called to follow up and see how long it may take and the lady I spoke to told me I could hear from someone any time from now to October.

Mine says "applied" as well. I called HR and he said that there were over 800 applicants and he's still screening. He said he MIGHT be able to send out the apps to the individual departments by next week. So, I'm guessing that's when we might see an update? Good luck everyone!!!

Thanks so much! Did HR say if all applications are/show routed? It would be nice to know if applicants would be notified early if they weren't matched to an unit, so we can figure out...other options ?

Hi everyone! I also applied to the residency program for this fall! Mine just switched to "routed" today! Keeping my fingers crossed for a phone call now ? Also curious to know if they all switch to routed or if its on an individual applicant basis.. a little confused by the top part that says "This page displays current job status of each recruitment and does not necessarily reflect the status of your application." Kinda makes it seem like they all switch at once, but who knows.

Also, when I spoke with nurse recruitment prior to applying, they said they base the unit you're "applying" to on where your senior preceptorship was.

HR didn't really say anything about that.

Mine just switched to "routed" as well. I feel like it probably means that the status switched for all applicants which kinda sucks because there's no way to know if you're in or out. Oh well. ?

Yeah I just did some digging in another thread for the people who applied for the spring 2019 program and it looks like they all route at once and then you can get a call anytime between now and either of the program start dates.. so maybe not until October ?
