UC Davis New Grad Residency Fall 2020

Is anyone planning on applying? Application period opens up April 29th. I am curious how it will work out with unit placement when so many programs in CA did not get to finish their preceptorships.

***UPDATE***

Applications are routed to only departments that are hiring new grads.

If you were selected to interview you would know by July 13th if you got the job for August Cohort.

Candidates are still being called for interviews for August cohort and October cohort. Most interviews will be complete within the next few weeks.

wait so July 13 everyone will know if they got the job or not so all interviews will have to happen before then?

For the August cohort. But they are still calling people to interview.

Thank you for the update. I stopped checking this thread because it stresses me out and gives me anxiety. But again, thank you for the update.

Do they only interview people who had preceptorships or externships? I didn't have one but I hope that working at a different UC makes up for it.

I believe yes because I was reading before that for a nursing program to be accredited, one of its requirements is a preceptorship. And UCD probably wants you to come from an accredited nursing program.

with it being such an unprecedented time, I wonder what they will do for those who were forced to cancel their preceptorship due to COVID
