UC Davis MEPN 2017

Hi all,

Anyone applying to the UC Davis MEPN program starting 2017? I'm finally taking the plunge and applying to masters entry programs/ABSN programs this year after being out of undergrad for nearly 3 years.

Looking forward to starting a conversation and hope we can use this space as a media to offer support to one another!

Thanks for the info bro22! Ahh okay around 200 people left for 32 spaces. This really is a major round 2 of applying!

Hello everybody!! I also got that email! That's so disappointing that we have to go through the stressful applying process and the horrible wait again! Is that for sure what they did?? Or just hearsay?

I'm also working on the essays for the secondary application and have been struggling for a week. I agree with everyone that there is major overlap with the essay prompts on NursingCAS, so I've decided to use parts from my NCAS essay in the secondary one. The hard part for me is that within the secondary essays, there is overlap. The Statement of Purpose asks us to talk about our interests, specializations, and career goals, but then there is a separate essay on Future Interests or Goals. Then the Personal History Statement asks us how we are prepared for success in grad school, yet the Statement of Purpose also asks us about our preparation and motivation for grad school.

How are you approaching all this overlap?

I just submitted my supplemental application. Now the nerve-wracking waiting just started.

Now days will be like: (breath in – breath out – refresh email) x 1000 times a day.

Anyone know if UCD looks at the applications in the order in which they were received?

Just a guess, But I think UCD just came back from winter break, So maybe they haven't even looked at our finished secondary applications yet. Like I said just a guess, I believe the email we have received stated we would hear in Feb or early March. The waiting game is the pits.
