Hiya folks!

It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.

Is anyone else already excited for next September?

To those who are already accepted, when do you have to pay your tuition/ deposit by? I'm thinking a couple of seats may become available after that

I'm thinking there may not be any more movement in the waitlist until the end of July/ beginning of August. In previous years it seemed like people would get offers in the middle of June, and then there wouldn't be any movement for a few weeks, and then a couple more people would get offered seats toward the end of July. More waiting!!

I was just talking with an advisor in a different area in UBC (Just to start organizing my plan B if I don't get offered a spot), and he said that at this point there is typically very little movement in any of the waitlists at UBC and that he would "strongly encourage" me to pursue my second option ?

Probably not what you wanted to hear!

I am so sorry to hear that ?  What number are you on the waitlist if you don't mind me asking because maybe there is still hope?

I was #36, which would put me now at #10 - definitely on the edge of what's historically accepted!

But I like to think that there's always hope ?

Do you have a plan B? If I don't get in I'm planning on just retaking my A+P because they'll be too old for next year (I took them right out of highschool - hard to believe it's already been 5 years!). I'll also take some other prerequisites so I can apply to more schools next year too (chem, stats, microbio), although UBC would still be my top choice!

I’m finishing up my undergrad this term so I’m hoping to get a job with that and then IDK ? apply again maybe. I got waitlisted at BCIT too. But that sounds like a good plan! It may help boost GPA as well if needed. I wonder if anyone heard anything todayyyy been so anxious
