Hiya folks!
It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.
Is anyone else already excited for next September?

We have to have all post-admission requirements in by July 15. And I was admitted in the afternoon! I was not expecting it at all by that time!
Hey guys! I just got accepted!! Only thing is I didn’t get a letter? I got an email saying your program change request has been approved (even tho I’m graduating from UBC this sem) and then my ssc says congratulations! I just hope it’s not a mistake cause I didn’t get a letter ? I was AL-34 btw!

Congrats! You must be beyond ecstatic!

So exciting!! I'm sure it wasn't a mistake - maybe the letter gets sent a bit later? You could always email the nursing advisor (Akiko?) to double check.
Just a couple more spots then it'll be my turn next (hopefully)!

Congratulations!! The letter for me came via email a bit later. Also once you pay the deposit you'll be provided with all of the info you need. See you in the fall ?
Hey everyone,
I know this forum hasn’t been active in a while and I hope that everyone is doing well with whatever paths you’re on. I had a question, I am applying to the 2022 cohort. I was wondering if anyone was accepted to the program with a 3 in any of the supplemental application, Casper or grades.
Thanks in advance

I took Biology 230 at Athabasca U which was accepted as an HAP course. It was pretty easy in terms of difficulty and I got to pace myself, so I finished it in around 3 months as opposed to 6/ 1 year.
Hey @aspiringnurse09! Can you give me some more information about the course BIOL 230? What were exams like, assignments like etc. Is it possible to get a 85% or higher? I need to score well on this! Thanks!

No one knows how they scored/ what number they got if they were directly accepted into the program. UBC only tells you your score if you got placed on the waitlist or if you got rejected.
I was on the waitlist last year (and was eventually offered a seat in the program). I got a 1 in grades, a 1 on the supplemental, and 3 on Casper.
I think UBC weights the Casper score most heavily. When I've talked with other people who were on the waitlist, they seem to think the same thing (I.e., people with a better Casper score but didn't get as high a score for grades or their supplemental were higher up on the waitlist).

I just stumbled upon this thread - thanks for explaining this! May I ask what # were you on the waitlist? And when did UBC notify you that you got accepted? Thanks in advance!

I was #13 on the waitlist, and was accepted on June 19th
Best of luck :)
