Hiya folks!

It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.

Is anyone else already excited for next September?

Hi! Is anyone else's application status still:

"Your file is ready for an academic assessment. We ask for your patience as this may take some time.

The following information is required before your file is evaluated by the School of Nursing:

Nursing Supplemental; Deadline: February 28

The UBC School of Nursing requires all students who apply for admission to the Nursing program to submit a Supplemental Application Form. This form is available here on the Student Service Centre, and must be submitted by the above mentioned deadline."

 

I submitted my supplemental February 27th and wrote CASPer February 11th.

I submitted my supplemental February 27th and wrote CASPer February 11th.

Hey, mine said that for a while after I had submitted everything. My guess is that it takes them a while to sort out the received transcripts and they won’t change your status until they’ve match all your documentation with your file. So I wouldn’t worry as long as it shows the date you submitted your supplemental in the supplemental application section. It’s a stressful message to see but I think you’re good!

Yup! My application status says the same thing. It might take longer than usual to change because of so many applicants this year.

I have applied to UBC & BCIT. I would be thrilled to get into either school but I guess my top choice would be UBC because of the shorter length and close proximity to my place. However, I like that BCIT has a paid preceptorship and 2 courses are included for a speciality certificate. If anyone else knows any other differences between the 2 programs, please share.

Thank you for sharing! Both schools are definitely amazing. I hope you get into both (it will make decision making harder).

The UBC SSC website right? Have you tried a different internet browser? 

My UBC one is okay but BCIT never works for me on chrome so I have to use safari. Hope that helps!
