Hiya folks!
It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.
Is anyone else already excited for next September?

The last date was February 11th 2021, and that they asked Altus Assessments to open two additional test for the applicants who did not complete it (apparently there's a number of applicants who have not yet completed the test).
Although if there's other October 15th 2020 test takers, perhaps there's an error somewhere?
EDIT: I didn't have the correct UBC Student number on file on the CASPer website. Probably why UBC didn't get a confirmation.
Hopefully, they get your test results soon once the error is fixed! It must have been really stressful for you! It's interesting that they are accommodating for those who missed the test by opening 2 additional test dates since they seemed very strict about deadlines.

CASPer support told me the update will be available to the programs on my distribution list within 24 hours.
Quick response too, I messaged them on Friday evening (EST) and got a response in the morning on a Saturday.
Does anyone have a back up plan if you don't get in this term? Will you just keep applying, or look into a different career altogether?
I feel pretty confident about my application, but the number of other applicants are making me nervous. I don't think there is anything else that I could do to improve my application though. My GPA for my last 30 credits is a 4.1 on a 4.3 scale (if they don't consider that good then I don't know what to think). For my extracurriculars, I've been heavily involved (and continue to be) in a sport for the past 11 years. I've been volunteering at a facility for disabled children in a health care setting for the last couple of years, and I've been employed as a physiotherapy assistant for the last year. I'm also a published author. I connected all of this to leadership and nursing in my supplemental, which I feel pretty good about. I also thought my Casper went well.
I'm still nervous though! This is my last year to apply to UBC before my A+P courses are too old. Did anyone here submit the PLAR application because they took their A+P courses more than 4 years ago? How did that go?

Sounds like you will take one of the 120 seats this cohort!

I suggest you apply to other schools like BCIT and langara. They're great schools, and likely to accept you. I got rejected form UBC, and I'm going to BCIT now.

That's great you got accepted into BCIT! What were your stats, if you don't mind sharing?
I unfortunately didn't take any Chemistry in highschool or university (I had more of an interest in kinesiology and pursuing either physio or occupational therapy). I could take a Chemistry course later this year to be able to apply to more nursing schools next year, but by then my A+P prerequisites will be too old. I really don't want to retake them either (It would feel like such a waste of time, I think). This is why I'm so nervous about getting accepted into UBC - if I don't, I'll probably have to look into a different career (I need to be able to start earning a liveable income in the foreseeable future).

You have a wonderful application! I am sure you will get in ? don't be too stressed. Relax for the next 2.5 months and you will see your acceptance letter soon!

What does rolling admissions mean?

I am not entirely certain, but when I called the advisors, she explained that it is a process where they look at applications as they come in instead of piling them up until the deadline to compare applicants. Although this is not a first-come-first-served basis, I still feel like my chances of getting in are slim now because I still haven't handed in my application.. So I was wondering if you guys have any experience with this!
