Hiya folks!
It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.
Is anyone else already excited for next September?

I have a question though (since I don't have access to Canvas)... Was that answer provided by UBC? Or was it answered by a student or something? ?
This is what was said by UBC on Canvas:
“Answer: Currently due to a technicality in the form, there is no word limit identified in this particular section/question. Even though a word limit not identified, the form may impose similar word limits.
Please limit your responses for this question to a maximum of 300 characters including spaces.”
When I put my answer in, nothing pops up about the word limit so I’m just not sure. Also there’s technically ppl not in the Canvas group so they wouldn’t know of this word limit so they could write more than what is stated.. 300 characters is so little
Edit: nvm I was reading past posts on here and apparently when you save your app it mentions smth about a 50 word limit ?

Thanks
Yes, I did. I talked to UBC BSN advising and they said that they would like you to indicate where you got the information from but they aren't super strict about APA, MLA, etc formatting.

Did they want in-text citations or just a list of citations at the end? Just worried about how I'd fit it all in the word count.

I didn't specifically ask about the list of citations at the end ... I asked "as an example can I just write (CBC News, 2018)" and the advisor said yes to doing that and that they aren't strict about the type of format. I only used in-text citations in mine.
Anyone else having trouble saving changes to their supplementary application? I rewrote some of my answers to fit the word count and it confirmed that the changes were saved but when I come back to the page nothing had been overwritten.
Edit: Never mind, I guess you just have to keep submitting it until it saves. I suggest everyone make a copy of their supplemental in case the same thing happens.

I believe that's it (the course and then the corresponding #)!
