  1. I got a reply from BCIT. For those who were wondering, there were 450 applications and 64 acceptances for this intake ?
  2. I heard that it's usually ~800. Since the number of applicants for both UBC and BCIT increased by ~30% during the pandemic (read this in a news article) this means that BCIT received over 1000 applicants for this intake... And that works out to an acceptance rate of 6.4% which seems wayyy too low. I don't think anyone has the answer ?
  3. Random question, but does anyone know approximately how many applicants BCIT received for this intake (or how many they usually receive)? Also, how many applicants do they accept? I'm curious about the acceptance rate because I heard that UBC's was about 120/860 (14%) for this cycle! ?
  4. Wow, thanks @dej09 @futurenurseidk @Medsister for your answers! I guess I won't have to do anything then. Whew, what a relief ☺
  5. I'm a little worried about my Criminal Record Check Review. Did anyone else's receipt look like this? We're supposed to attach our receipt to the Canvas Module, but whenever I tried to save my webpage as a PDF file, my PDF file was saved like this (picture attached). This looks nothing like the receipt that was shown on my webpage ? Also, I just wanted to confirm that we don't have to manually share our results to UBC? Thanks!
  6. We've received a congratulations letter, but not a welcome letter yet ? On my computer, I can't access the BSN program requirements folder, but strangely I can access it on my phone (on my phone it just directs me to the Modules page - nothing special).
  7. Hello everyone ? I was accepted today as well, but I will be going to UBC so a spot will free up. For your information, I do not have a degree. It seems that BCIT still does accept people without degrees!
  8. I don't think you get an advantage for applying early. I know someone who applied on Feb 26 (or 27, can't quite remember) and got in this cycle.
  9. Apparently it takes up to 10 days for the SSC to update. Perhaps check your spam inbox—I've actually seen someone find their email there!
  10. Mine hasn't yet. Did everyone else's?
  11. You're 100% in. Congratulations! I'm happy your effort paid off ? Do you mind sharing how you ranked in the three categories?
  12. To everyone who received an acceptance email, is your status updated in the Student Service Centre? I got an acceptance email but I don't see anything... I still see "Your application is currently being reviewed by the Faculty/School." Should I be worried ?
  13. May I ask where you got this information? I don't see anywhere on Langara's site that ENGL 1123 is equivalent to ENGL 199, for example. Yes, they seem quite similar ?
  14. Hello @Jollibee, Thank you so much for the quick reply! That is such a relief to hear because I have taken all of those courses at SFU! May I ask where you have gotten this information? I do not see anything on Langara's site - it only tells me to use the BC Transfer Guide.
  15. Hi everyone ? I'd like to apply to Langara (don't know exactly which semester yet) but I need some help understanding the admission requirements. I am currently attending SFU. I used the BC Transfer Guide and noticed that for a lot of the required courses, there aren't any equivalent courses at SFU (e.g. There is no course I can take at SFU to fulfill the BIOL 1191 requirement). How can I apply to Langara if this is the case? I'm quite lost right now and would appreciate any help! ?
