Hey guys! I just wanted to start this post for anyone applying for the 2022 cycle for UBC nursing. Just wondering where everyone is coming from and their experiences.

Just curious where you saw that, I've been trying to find info on when they might be sending out responses and haven't found it (yet) --
So I guess we all have a few weeks of waiting-anxiety left then!

I just went through a few of the previous UBC nursing forums on this site! Check UBC 2021, 2020, and 2019. People have made comments on when they had received their offers.

I've applied only to Camosun/UVIC, and UBC - so far. If I don't get into either of those, I will apply to BCIT for January '23 intake. But I'm also wondering the same thing, what to do if you get accepted one place before you hear an answer from another. I guess you could accept and pay the deposit (if it's not too large) and then withdraw your acceptance if you get into a school you prefer later? But I agree that wouldn't be the greatest thing to do. Tough situation.
Yeah, I think that is what I am going to end up doing, I just feel kinda bad knowing the waitlist is awful! The deadline is the 26th of April, which is also such a bummer because it is like maybe 2-5 days before we'll find out about UBC!

Sounds like that is the move then! I hope they keep people on the waitlists for those schools even after people have officially accepted all the seats in case people drop later... I would feel awful if not, but nursing seats seem pretty in demand, so I think they must!

Hey! I'm also at UBC kin but I'm currently in my first year, I'm really hoping to apply during second year and start nursing in third year. Do you have any tips for me?

hiii! I recommend taking easier second-year kin courses during the first semester, and harder ones during the second semester, as second-semester marks don't count towards your admission average. Out of 2nd yr courses, I would say people found exercise physiology (235) one of the harder courses, however, others found biomechanics hard (if bad at physics) or research methods (if bad at writing) challenging. Really depends on what your strengths and weaknesses are!! I would also start your supplemental early, because UBC's is by far the longest (I applied to all of langara, bcit, uoft, western, queens, mcmaster). I definitely procrastinated with writing mine and then actually got sick with covid two weeks before the deadline and ended up rushing my app... don't be like me hahah...
If you have any other questions, feel free to pm me and I would be happy to talk about more!! ?

Ahhh thank you so much! I do have a few other questions but my account isn't allowing me to send any private messages yet. Is there any other way I could reach out to you?
