Published

Hey guys! I just wanted to start this post for anyone applying for the 2022 cycle for UBC nursing.  Just wondering where everyone is coming from and their experiences.

Congratulation!! I am also on the Waitlist for VCC LPN since 04-JAN-2022...

When does UBC usually send out offers? Do they also notify you by email besides checking on Student Service Centre?

Hey!

I am wondering what other people are doing with other options and acceptance deadlines?

COTR and Selkirk BSN both have a deadline to accept that is before I think we’ll hear from UBC. They ask for a bit of money for a deposit...
I am not super hopeful I will get into UBC, but I feel weird accepting and paying before I know for sure? Anyone else in this position?

Hi Nina!
I've applied only to Camosun/UVIC, and UBC - so far.  If I don't get into either of those, I will apply to BCIT for January '23 intake.

But I'm also wondering the same thing, what to do if you get accepted one place before you hear an answer from another.  I guess you could accept and pay the deposit (if it's not too large) and then withdraw your acceptance if you get into a school you prefer later?  But I agree that wouldn't be the greatest thing to do.  Tough situation.

Specializes in Asian American Stud, MA, UCLA; MFA, UBC.

Is anyone taking their HAP courses at Langara?

That's what I did. I got accepted to VCC for their BSN program, so I paid the deposit and if UBC comes back with a yes I'll jump ship! Forfeit the deposit.

Ahh! I'm scared. Is this usually the time that UBC sends offers?

I noticed that they give out offers on the last day of April or the first day of May! I'm super scared as well ?
