Hey guys! I just wanted to start this post for anyone applying for the 2022 cycle for UBC nursing. Just wondering where everyone is coming from and their experiences.

I would assume people who don’t meet the admission cut-off, don’t have eligible degrees etc. get declined before they do thorough reviews
I'm sure this is it, still sad cause it says degree, not sure not your degree...pissed cause I finished the whole application before they told me this...so grrrr
Hi everyone, I read through everything before deciding to leave a comment. One thing that made me laugh were the two people who said they felt “old” because they graduated high school 20 years ago—10 years AFTER I did! Yes, I’m 46, have been a professional editor since 1998, and am making a big career change. I received my MFA in Creative Writing from UBC in 2012, after originally entering the program in 2006. I was diagnosed with Stage III Triple Negative Breast Cancer the Summer after I completed my first year of course work. I had to take a year of medical leave. This began my training as a professional patient and armchair researcher. I’m finally able-bodied and better, for which I’m grateful everyday. I want to become a nurse practitioner and perhaps open my own clinic for patients suffering from chronic illnesses.

Hi there, I had a similar reaction to those posts, since I'm really "old" too! (45) ?. It's scary yet exciting to pursue a big career change at this point in life! Best of luck to you my dear! Hope we both get in so we can reminisce about the '80s together haha✨

Wow this is very inspiring! Just wanted to say that you can never be too "old" to pursue what you are passionate about! I have been working for the past 7 years, and am both anxious and excited to be going back to school.

Hi!
Mine just switched to being reviewed by the faculty/school a few days ago. I think it’s probably just an automatic change to when they open your supplemental or some other part of your application - I don’t think it matters at all when it changes though.
I am also checking the SSC way too much. Hopefully the earlier supplemental deadline might mean earlier decision making?

Mine says "Your application is currently being reviewed by the Faculty/School." My guess is they've received so many applications this year, that it will take a while for everyone's application to change status.

I graduated from UBC a few years ago! Really hoping I get into the program for this fall.
