UBC 2022 Nursing
This was my first time applying and I was accepted. I just graduated from UBC with a bachelors in biology honours. I am 24 and took a little longer than normal to finish up undergrad because I spent my first 2 years at Langara and transferred to UBC, but I accumulated a lot of experience during my undergrad and I think that helped my supplemental a lot. If you have any questions about application process feel free to ask and I can try and help! ❤️ good luck

Yes that’s right, what are you confused about??? Oh, well obviously if you are accepted off the waitlist at a later date then you won’t have to have the requirements done by that date if that’s what you meant

I don’t think you can’t really do any of the post admission requirements until you’re officially accepted. Everything is submitted through canvas and you get a link to enroll in the BSN 2022 cohort with your acceptance letter

Weird, I was accepted with 82% average but I had top quartile for Casper and I think my supplemental was pretty strong

This is probably just a partial file review, they usually go through all the applications first to make sure all the admission criteria are met. I would assume people who don’t meet the admission cut-off, don’t have eligible degrees etc. get declined before they do thorough reviews

OMG my application status on ssc just changed to "Your application is currently being reviewed by the Faculty/School." AGHHHHHH I don't think I can wait 2 months to knowww

I think it depends on the group of applicants! Last year the admission average ranged from 75-95% so definitely depends on more than just grades. You seem to have good experience in the healthcare field so your supplemental is probably strong! Casper may hurt your application but there's no knowing for sure

3rd quartile is great for Casper! I wouldn’t be worried at all, the other components of your application seem great too. They look at your application holistically ?
