Hey guys! I just wanted to start this post for anyone applying for the 2022 cycle for UBC nursing. Just wondering where everyone is coming from and their experiences.
Hello,
I'm currently a Health Care Assistant and have a BSc in Biology from UBC. This is my second time applying (75% average and second quartile for CASPer). Do you think I have a chance of getting in or might I have to wait another year and apply again for 2023?
Thank you so much!
And also, good luck to everyone!

I think it depends on the group of applicants! Last year the admission average ranged from 75-95% so definitely depends on more than just grades. You seem to have good experience in the healthcare field so your supplemental is probably strong! Casper may hurt your application but there's no knowing for sure

"The University of British Columbia (UBC), Thompson Rivers University and UBC Okanagan welcomed additional students in September 2021, with new and expanded intakes at more public post-secondary institutions opening up over the next year and a half." https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2022HLTH0004-000250
I was wondering as well when exactly ?
Considering that it's kind of "fresh news", it's probably best to ask them directly. Would be great if they did!
Hey all, I spoke to one of the faculty in the UBC nursing program and they told me that there are now 150 seats available for this year's entry
Hope that gives everyone a little bit of hope.

Wow, that is awesome, thank you so much for asking about this! Nice to know an additional bunch of lovely humans will get a chance at this program.

Mine still says: "Your file is ready for an evaluation! We ask for your patience as this may take some time. We will be in touch with you by email should we require additional information. Please continue to check the status of your application on the Student Service Centre." ?
