UBC Nursing - September 2013

Published

Hey Everyone!

I'm hoping to apply for UBC nursing 2013, but I am a little worried as I haven't volunteered for 2 years. My question is, if I get back into volunteering this summer will my chances of being accepted be higher?

Thank you!

Those of you who accepted your invites already (via email), did the admissions people reply back to confirm that they received your acceptance of your interview offer?

I accepted the invite but did not receive any confirmation, even though I asked a question in my email. I'm sure she's just really busy!

I have also not received a confirmation of my confirmation. I'll probably call them before April 2nd if I don't hear back.

(Now I just have to finish this stupid anatomy & physiology prereq... :yuck:)

meeks_86, since it's your third time doing the MMI, would you be able to provide any insight or tips on how the process goes, I'd appreciate it!

Anyone receive any invitations today?

Thank you for the encouragement ehlehnah. What other accelerated program are you applying to? I tried to apply to other ACC BSN programs in California, unfortunately, I am not eligible to apply in CA :( I went to The Art Institute for my BSN since it's not WASC accredited I am not considered a degree holder ...pretty ridiculous but it sounds like you have tons of valuable experience I am sure you will get in! but i know what you mean, I am not a canadian citizen either, my husband and I relocated to Vancouver a couple of weeks ago for work purposes. Hoping for the best ! good luck to you

Nothing coming through. I really want feedback on my application so I know where to improve !

seems like no one on this thread has received an invite since Tuesday.

CSU San Marcos and if I don't get into a nursing program, I also applied to a respiratory therapy program at my local CC. If that doesn't work, I'll go back to trying for physical therapy school again. Haha. I rather be a nurse more than anything! I didn't know that the Art Institute wasn't accredited? I would have lumped Phoenix or DeVry as not credited schools. I graduated from SDSU with a Kinesiology degree so I wasn't limited in my options. Lets hope this whole thing gets solved! I don't want to have trouble sleeping because of it. Have you had any luck contacting the school about how international students are ranked? I can't ever seem to get ahold of the school. Eh.

I think they send out invites usually in the afternoon.

Fingers crossed!

I thought I'd let people know I just got an interview invite, so they are definitely sending some out this afternoon. My fingers are crossed that some more people get some good news before the long weekend! Best luck to everyone!!
