Hey Everyone!
I'm hoping to apply for UBC nursing 2013, but I am a little worried as I haven't volunteered for 2 years. My question is, if I get back into volunteering this summer will my chances of being accepted be higher?
Thank you!
This is my first time posting on this thread.
I thought I would share with the group that I was offered an interview this morning (March 26) for April 15. I am 29 and did a UBC BA in Psychology. My most recent 30 transferable credits average in the low 80's, and I have four years experience in community social service and mental health work.
Fingers crossed for everyone!
Hey,
I've been following this forum religiously and thought I would share my stats. I received my interview invite at 12:20pm today.
I am a third year student with an average of around 80. I have quite of a bit of volunteering so maybe that helped my application.

Good luck to everyone!
Hi guys! This is my first post here:)
I just got my interview invite at 2:30pm and my interview is on April 17 at 10:30am.
I am a nurse (LPN), and this is my 3rd time attending an interview! Lol... I would say this is a really competitive school to get into as even with nursing experience i could not make it in:( Really crossing fingers to do well!
I haven't heard back yet...hopefully sometime tomorrow or on thursday :)
but I have a low gpa... 72% (I dropped 6 percent last semester)
Nevertheless,
I believe I have a solid supplemental...I've been volunteering at a hospital for almost four years, volunteered abroad, volunteered at pharmacy, dentist, etc.
What do you guys think? Is there a possibility for me to receive an invite for the interview? I'm so nervous and desperate! Fingers crossed for all of us!!!

My last name starts with S. I'm pretty sure invites are sent out via ranking. And don't worry - there is still plenty of time!! Emails are personalized so it is a tedious process.
